A jury has found an Akron man guilty in the October home-invasion robbery of a group of UA students.
Demarco Wright, 20, of Georgia Avenue, was found guilty today in Summit County Common Pleas Court to three counts of aggravated robbery, four counts of kidnapping, one count of aggravated burglary, one count of tampering with evidence and eight firearm violations.
Authorities say Wright and two others kicked in a door on Brown Street. A girl hiding in the upstairs attic called the police for help. The three robbers were arrested inside of the home.
Teon Lipkins and Derrick Recktenwalt pleaded guilty in February to their roles in the robbery.
Lipkins was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Recktenwalt is still awaiting sentencing.
Wright will be sentenced May 21 by Judge Alison McCarty.
