BARBERTON: The Barberton Municipal Court is giving a break to citizens whose licenses have been forfeited for not paying court fines.
The License Forfeiture Amnesty Program allows motorists to pay half of the amount owed to the court and, in turn, the court will release the license forfeiture, a step toward restoring a valid driver’s license.
The remaining half that is due may be paid in monthly installments.
The program will begin Tuesday and continue through Dec. 15.
Payments can be made at www.cityofbarberton.com/clerkofcourts or in person at the clerk of court’s office on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., or Saturday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Payments can be mailed to: Barberton Municipal Court, 576 W. Park Ave., Barberton, OH, 44203.
