An Akron caregiver is accused of stealing more than $17,000 from a patient, police said.
Kelly Buck, 33, was being held in the Summit County Jail after her arrest Saturday on charges of forgery and grand theft.
Akron police detectives said Buck was working as a caregiver for Homewatch CareGivers from August through December 2012 when she was assigned to the victim’s Rock Hill Drive home. During that time, police said she stole several checks and used the patient’s debit card in the amount of $17,249.
She was scheduled to appear Tuesday in Akron Municipal Court.
