An Akron couple have been arrested on charges they robbed a gas station late last month in the Merriman Valley.

Autumn Marie Eggleston, 20, and Reginald Durant Carson, 21, both of Bye Street in Akron, were arrested on robbery charges this week. They are accused of robbing a clerk of cigarettes and cigars inside the BP store at 1614 Merriman Road.

Akron police recently released a video of the crime, and a citizen who contacted detectives identified Eggleston and Carson as the culprits, detectives said Wednesday.

Eggleston and Carson were taken into custody without incident and are being held in Summit County Jail.
