An Akron firefighter incurred a minor injury while responding to a house fire early Monday morning.
The fire, at 669 Lucille Ave., started after a second-floor bathroom ventilation fan overheated and ignited plastic surrounding it, Akron fire Capt. Al Bragg said.
He said a firefighter required stitches on an injured finger. No one else was hurt.
Damage to the home and contents was estimated at $25,000.
