An Akron man was seriously wounded when gunfire erupted Thursday night in West Akron.
The victim, 26, is being treated for internal injuries at an area hospital. The gunman has not been identified.
Multiple gunshots were fired at about 9:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Noah Avenue near Copley Road. The victim was on a porch with several other men when he was shot, police said. Rescue workers found the shooting victim in the rear of the house.
The home and two cars parked in the driveway were damaged.
Witnesses could not provide a description of the gunman.
