Akron police are investigating a shooting Thursday afternoon that left a city man wounded.
Police say around 3 p.m. Thursday a 20 year old reported that he was shot during a robbery in the 1200 block of Everton Drive.
The victim told investigators that he was inside his apartment when another man pulled out a gun and demanded money. The suspect took the man’s money, shot him in the leg and ran out of the apartment.
Police describe the suspect as a black male between the ages of 18 and 20. He is about six feet tall and weighs around 190 pounds. He wore a black and blue varsity jacket.
The victim was taken to Akron General Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
