Beacon Journal staff report
An Akron man told police he was stabbed during an argument in his home, but he declined to give the name of his female assailant.
The man, 44, was stabbed early Tuesday in his home on Fern Street and was trying to walk to a hospital for treatment, police said. He made it to the 500 block of Euclid Avenue but was too weak to continue, and 911 was called about 1 a.m., police said.
Paramedics took the man to Akron General Medical Center, where he was treated for two stab wounds to his shoulder. During questioning, the man said he was stabbed by a woman inside his home, but he did not want to identify her or have further police involvement, officers wrote in their report.
