Two Akron men are among 17 people accused in a wide-ranging federal drug trafficking indictment.
Antjuan A. Adkins, 37, and Quay L. Watkins, 35, were among those named in the indictment unsealed Tuesday by Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.
The 57-count indictment accuses the 17 people of a conspiring to acquire and sell cocaine, heroin and marijuana in Akron, Youngstown and Columbus.
“This group represents another layer of people who sold drugs throughout the region,” said Dettelbach. “They profited from other people’s addictions.”
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force.
