A man wanted on murder and robbery charges was arrested in North Akron on Tuesday night after being on the lam for about two weeks.
Ronald Bishop Jr., 27, of Atlanta, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
Authorities say they received numerous tips that pointed them to Linden Avenue, where Bishop was holed up inside a home.
He is one of three men accused in the Jan. 20 shooting death of Marshall Jones, 26, of Akron. Devante Scurry, 19, and Charles Fortson, 37, both of Akron, are being held in the Summit County Jail on aggravated robbery and aggravated murder charges.
Police say Jones was robbed of his gun and marijuana and was shot multiple times while riding with the three men in an SUV. His body was found in the road on Noble Avenue.
