Akron pizza delivery driver robbed

An man delivering pizzas was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning, police said.

The driver for Papa John’s Pizza told police that two men approached him about 1:45 a.m. while he was attempting to deliver food in the 700 block of Alicia Walk.

Police say the driver threw a $20 bill in the air, dropped the pizzas and ran for his car. The robbers took the bill and pizzas and fled.

The robbers are two black males in their late teens, police said. One wore a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The second robber wore a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
