An Akron man was mugged by two men who had stopped and asked for a light for a cigarette, police said.
The victim, 19, said he was outside smoking about 11 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Rentschler Street when two men approached. One asked for a light for his cigarette.
As the victim reached for a lighter, the other man pulled out a handgun and robbed the victim of his iPod, wallet and $20. The suspects then ran off.
Police say the robbers were two black males in their mid 20s. One man has a beard and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray or blue jeans. The second man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
