An Akron man attempting to stop two men from taking his cell phone was shot in his left leg, police said.
The victim, 22, was being treated for his injuries at a local hospital. The two men involved in the shooting have not been identified.
The shooting took place about 8:30 p.m. inside the victim’s apartment in the 700 block of East Exchange Street.
