Bath Township police and firefighters rescued a dog named “Bobby” after the pooch had fallen into a pond Thursday morning.
The dog is being treated at a local veterinarian hospital.
Police said the dog ventured onto the pond near Spring Valley Road and only its head was above the water line when rescuers were called. Two firefighters went into the water to save the dog. Three other safety workers used a line to bring the firefighters safely to the shore.
A police officer then drove “Bobby” for treatment.
