The Black Keys, whose last two Grammy-winning albums, Brothers and El Camino, shot the West Akron duo into the arena-rock stratosphere, will release their first new song since December 2011 when Fever debuts at 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to Revolt.tv.
More information about a new album will be revealed Monday, according to the website. The band has scheduled several concert dates, mostly in Europe.
Despite the gap between albums, the longest of the band’s career, the Firestone High graduates haven’t been invisible.
Singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach has lent his 2013 Grammy Producer of the Year skills to records by Dr. John, Ray LaMontagne, JEFF the Brotherhood and Lana Del Rey. Drummer Patrick Carney produced records for indie rockers the Sheepdogs and Tennis.
