Akron police have recovered the body of a woman after two days of searching parts of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Susan Ramsdell, 48, a local French horn player and music instructor, left a note inside her Akron home indicating she might be intent on committing suicide, police said.
She was last seen about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and authorities were contacted and a search was conducted.
On Thursday, Ramsdell’s car was found in the Top O’ the Hill park, located in the valley off Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls. Ramsdell’s body was found Friday in a wooded area in the Hampton Hills Metro Park, police said.
Police say there are no immediate signs of foul play. Her body was taken to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
