A Brunswick mom faces charges that she left her son alone at a McDonalds Playland while she did laundry.
Police were called to the McDonalds on Pearl Road on Sunday after workers became concerned that a 10-year-old was alone at the play area.
Authorities said officers questioned the child, who said his mother was at a nearby laundromat washing clothes.
Officers were unable to reach the child’s mother or his father, who lives in Medina, according to a police report.
After the child’s mother, Tiara M. Jones, 31, arrived back at McDonalds she was taken by officers to her unlocked apartment, where a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl were found sleeping in the front room.
Jones faces a charge of child endangering.
