CINCINNATI: A federal appeals panel in Cincinnati will hear arguments Tuesday over a federal lawsuit involving the families of three murder victims whose corpses were sexually abused in a morgue.
Attorneys for the families will argue that they should be able to take the lawsuit to trial on civil rights claims.
Attorneys for the defendants named in the lawsuit will argue that the case shouldn’t be allowed to go to trial.
The arguments will be before a three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in downtown Cincinnati. The court will issue a ruling at an unspecified later date.
The lawsuit says Hamilton County morgue attendant Kenneth Douglas sexually abused the corpses of at least three women who were homicide victims. It seeks unspecified damages.
