DNA confirms identity of Cleveland boy found dead in trash; prosecutor says boy’s skull fractured

Associated Press

CLEVELAND: A DNA sample taken from a Cleveland mother charged with killing her 3-year-old son has confirmed the victim’s identity.

The medical examiner in Cleveland said Thursday that positive identification has been made and that the victim is Emilliano Terry.

Earlier Thursday, a judge set bond at $2 million for the mother, 20-year-old Camilia Terry, on an aggravated murder charge.

She initially told police that her son went missing during a Sunday outing to a park. She came under suspicion one day later when she changed her version of how the boy disappeared.

The medical examiner’s office hasn’t determined the cause of death, but a prosecutor said the boy had suffered a fractured skull.

The boy’s body was found in trash bags at a waste processing center Monday.
