COVENTRY TWP.: Three people were displaced when their mobile home caught fire Sunday afternoon.
There were no injuries but the home was a total loss, said Lt. Bob Stokes of the Coventry Fire Department.
The fire, in a mobile home park on Joyce Avenue off Manchester Road, was called into the department at about 4 p.m. Coventry requested mutual aid from the New Franklin and Springfield fire departments for manpower and water, said Stokes.
Damage estimates are around $20,000 to $25,000 for the building and its contents.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the one unit and prevent it from spreading to other homes nearby.
The residents are being aided by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
