Four people are accused of stealing more than $100,000 from an elderly Summit County man.
Summit County sheriff’s deputies began the investigation in February after receiving a referral from Adult Protective Services concerned about the possible financial exploitation of an 84-year-old man.
According to deputies, Patrick A. Cross, 44; Jacqueline M. Cross, 45; Dale M. Cross, 43; and Mark Peterson, 55, all of Akron, cashed various checks from the man’s account.
Patrick and Jacqueline M. Cross, both of Celtic Avenue, are charged with second-degree felony charges of theft from the elderly.
Dale Cross, also of Celtic Avenue, and Peterson, of Sixth Street Southwest, are charged with fourth-degree felony charges of theft from the elderly.
The four were being held in Summit County Jail.
