A Green man died Wednesday of injuries suffered in a dune buggy accident three days earlier, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mark Campbell, 50, was driving the dune buggy on private property in the 3800 block of Massillon Road at 7:20 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and struck a tree. He was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital with serious injuries.
A 10-year-old male passenger also was injured and taken to Akron Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the boy.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash. Alcohol is suspected, authorities said.
