Lucas Strouble scored 28 points, including eight of his team’s 13 in overtime, to lead the Dukes to a Canton Division II sectional victory.

Thomas Mason added 13 points to the winning effort.

Joe Kitchen (20 points) and Victor Dorsey (13) led the Spartans in scoring.

Marlington (17-6) will play Norton in a sectional final at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse.

Alliance 55, Coventry 50

J.J. Kukura scored 19 points in the Aviators’ Canton Division II sectional victory.

Parrish Martin added 10 points to the win.

Bryce Hargrove and Jimmy Holmgren led the Comets’ scoring attack with 16 and 15 points, respectively. J.J. Morrison added 10.

Alliance (15-8) will play Archbishop Hoban in a sectional final at 8 p.m. Saturday at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse.

The Knights (13-11) had five players score in double figures in a Salem Division III sectional final.

Will Burger led the attack with 28 points. Other notables include Reece Guidone (14), Austin Hill (13), Richard Zeren (11) and Anthony Snyder (10).

Braden Davison led the Golden Eagles with 21 points.

St. Thomas Aquinas will play New Middletown Springfield in a district semifinal at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Salem High School.
