Homicide victim identified as Akron man

Authorities have released the name of the 26-year-old man who was shot multiple times Monday afternoon.

The victim is Marshall Jones, who lived on Grand Avenue in Akron. Police say Jones was in a Dodge Durango with three men when he was shot multiple times and his body was left in the 200 block of Noble Avenue.

No suspects have been identified.

In the fatal shooting, Edwards said a silver 1995-2000 Dodge Durango with tinted windows and three black male occupants was seen leaving the scene on Noble.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Akron police at 330-375-2490.
