Jackson Township girl found in Medina County

A Jackson Township girl who left her home Wednesday was found Friday afternoon in Medina County, police said.

Emma Elizabeth Newland, 14, was found about 2:30 p.m. and was being reunited with her family, police said.

Police would not release other details of the case.

The teen was last seen about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday after arguing with a friend. Police publicized the girl’s departure as a “critical” missing person case, but they did not elaborate.
