KENT: A Kent State University student accused of posting a message on Twitter saying he would be "shooting up" the campus has been suspended.
Nineteen-year-old William Koberna was arrested Sunday in Brunswick, and has been charged with inducing panic and aggravated menacing.
A Portage County judge has instructed Koberna to stay away from the school and President Lester Lefton.
The university said Tuesday Koberna would be on an interim suspension, meaning the suspension status could change pending criminal charges.
University officials found the profanity-laced July 25 tweet, which included a threat that he planned to be “shooting up” the school.
