Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was killed Monday when his body was struck by a passing train in Barberton.
The man’s name has not yet been released. A spokesman for the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said the agency is trying to determine a positive identification.
The man was sitting on the CSX tracks at Coventry and State roads in Barberton and was attempted to stand up when he was struck by the train at about 2 p.m., the spokesman said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Barberton police are investigating
