Norton police are seeking the public’s help in locating two men in connection with the burglary of an elderly woman’s home.
Robin Edgington, 43, a former Barberton resident, is wanted on charges of burglary and receiving stolen property.
He is accused of breaking inside a home where a 90-year-old woman lives with her mentally challenged daughter in the early morning hours of Nov. 27. The women were asleep when the break-in unfolded and their purses were stolen.
Norton Police Chief Thad Hete said Edgington and an unidentified man later used the woman’s credit card to obtain cash at an Akron gas station and merchandise from the Walmart store on South Arlington Road.
Edgington is currently on parole for a 2004 conviction for burglary and armed robbery.
Anyone with information on Edgington’s whereabouts or the identity of his alleged accomplice is asked to call Norton Police detectives at 330-825-2491. Tipsters may also call the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 866-4-WANTED.
