Beacon Journal staff report
Mogadore police sniffed out what they called an elaborate indoor marijuana grow farm operating inside a resident’s home.
Police said the seizure — more than 100 marijuana plants — is the department’s largest pot bust ever.
Officers were called to the Louise Street residence early Saturday after a neighbor noticed a pickup truck with its engine running for more than two hours.
Police went to the home and talked to resident David Schramm, 54. During the conversion, police said they “smelled the distinct and very strong odor” of marijuana coming from inside the house.
Schramm allowed police to search his residence, and police found the drug.
Schramm was arrested on charges of marijuana cultivation and drug possession. He was being held in the Summit County Jail pending an appearance in Akron Municipal Court.
