Ohio grand jury gets case of Indiana Guardsman found with bombs, detonator in vehicle

Associated Press

LONDON, OHIO: A grand jury will consider charges against an Indiana National Guardsman being held in central Ohio on explosives charges.

The Madison County Municipal Court clerk’s office says Andrew Scott Boguslawski, 43, appeared for a preliminary hearing Friday in Madison County Municipal Court, and his case was bound over to the grand jury.

Boguslawski — who is being held on a $1 million bond — was arrested late Jan. 1 after a State Highway Patrol trooper in Ohio stopped him for going 85 mph in a 70-mph zone on Interstate 70 just west of Columbus.

Authorities say they searched the vehicle and found 48 explosives, four guns and a remote detonation device. Boguslawski indicated he was carrying items for training.

The prosecutor and Boguslawski’s attorney didn’t respond to messages Friday.
