WINCHESTER, OHIO: A 14-year-old boy suspected of shooting and injuring an older relative during a domestic dispute is in custody in southern Ohio.
A 63-year-old man was shot in the back Monday at a home near the village of Winchester in Adams County, about 50 miles east of Cincinnati. WCPO-TV reports the man is the boy’s step-grandfather.
Police say the man was in a dispute with two female relatives when the teen got a gun from the man’s vehicle and shot him in the back.
He was flown to a Cincinnati hospital. No update on the man’s condition was available Tuesday.
The teen was being held in a juvenile detention center.
