STEUBENVILLE, OHIO: The State Highway Patrol says a 16-year-old boy died after the car he was driving sped over a high wall and into a pond in eastern Ohio.
The patrol said the body of Trevor Bozman was recovered from the pond in Jefferson County early Tuesday.
Troopers said Bozman’s car went airborne off the side of a road and over the wall before landing on its roof in the pond. Speed was likely a major factor.
Troopers said someone from another car in the area made the call to police after the Monday night accident.
The water in the pond is more than 10 feet deep, and it took about three hours for authorities to get the car out.
