Beacon Journal staff report
The city of Akron issued a snow parking ban for all city streets beginning at 11 a.m. Monday.
The ban, which will be in effect until further notice, will allow for clearing of snow for public safety.
Issuing a ban allows the city to tow parked cars if they impede the progress of snow removal. All cars should be removed from parking spots on city streets regardless of whether city crews are still plowing main roads or have moved to other parts of the city, according to a news release announcing the parking ban.
