Beacon Journal staff report

PENINSULA: The function of the Peninsula Depot Visitor Center will change Feb. 24, when it will be used only for ticket sales and as a railroad information center for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, the national park and the railroad announced.

The depot is owned by the Peninsula Foundation and leased by the railroad.

The National Park Service said that rangers and volunteers will remain in the area during peak visitation times to answer questions from visitors when the train is in Peninsula but will not be inside the depot.

Also, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park announced that the Hunt Farm Information Center now will be called Hunt House and the Everett Road Covered Bridge will be called Everett Covered Bridge.
