A Conlin Drive man, 48, received a summons to Barberton Municipal Court after he allegedly fired a shot outside his home May 6. Police said he fired a shot in the air because he was frustrated that people were at the rear of his property.
A Washington Avenue man, 22, was charged with escape, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and criminal mischief May 11. Police said he faked a medical condition to delay his arrest. After vomiting and urinating in the backseat of the cruiser, the suspect was furloughed to Summa Western Reserve Hospital for treatment. He walked away.
An Ironwood Avenue man, 32, was charged with escape May 10 after being furloughed to Summa Western Reserve Hospital from the Cuyahoga Falls jail. He was found walking along 23rd Street.
A Winter Parkway man, 48, was charged with domestic violence May 9 after he allegedly choked and slapped his wife and threw her against a wall.

Police were called to Birch Hill Drive on May 11 after a man reported that he was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint. A Cleveland Heights man was arrested.
A Remsen Road man called police May 8 because he believed someone took new checks from his mailbox. He also suspected his new cellphone provider canceled service because he never received a bill. Officers investigating the call found that the man hadn’t ordered new checks and the cellphone simply needed to be plugged in and recharged.
Police were called to the area of Sharon-Copley Road on May 9 to investigate a suspicious woman on a bicycle. Officers discovered she was a bird watcher.

Cash and other items, total reported value of $1,000, were listed as stolen from a Whippoorwill Street Northwest home May 1.
A door window was reported broken April 30 to enter a Stuart Street Northwest home. Two chain saws and two woofer boxes, total value $2,605, were stolen.

Police said she then struck the girlfriend with her vehicle as she was leaving.

A Canton man, 31, of Market Avenue North, was charged with breaking and entering and vandalism after police said he removed copper pipe and fixtures from a vacant home May 7 on Sixth Street Northeast.

A video game system and other items, total value $761, were reported stolen from an Ellesmere Avenue Northwest home.
A city resident told police May 1 that his $635 cellphone and case were stolen from an unlocked locker at the YMCA on South Main Street.
A Royal Avenue Northeast woman, 24, was arrested May 5 on domestic violence warrant.
An Avanti Lane man, 22, was charged with assault and felony disrupting public services May 1 at a North Vista Street location. He allegedly took a cellphone and cut someone’s finger.

Two doors were broken, causing $200 in damage May 11 at Fredericksburg Builders, 2532 S. Apple Creek Road, East Union Township. Nothing appeared to be taken.
