Akron police had to use its K9 unit to help track down a suspect in the robbery of a store.

Police were called to the Dollar General Store, 1537 Brittain Road, around 11:30 a.m. Thursday after a man with a gun robbed a cashier.

The police dog tracked the suspect to an apartment on Alphada Avenue.

Raylon Lampley, 20, was charged with aggravated robbery.

Investigators say they recovered the gun used in the robbery and cash taken from the store.
