SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO: Police in suburban Cleveland say a man who was “car-surfing” fell from the top of a vehicle and was run over by the driver, who then crashed into a wall.

WJW-TV reports both men were taken to the hospital after the Wednesday accident in Shaker Heights, just east of Cleveland. Updates on the extent of their injuries and their conditions weren’t provided.

Police say the driver is being charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They say the passenger was cited for riding outside of a vehicle.

Officials didn’t immediately release the names of the two men.
