COLUMBUS: Thousands were left without power in central Ohio on Monday night thanks to a squirrel.
WBNS in Columbus reported AEP officials said about 9,500 customers lost electricity Monday evening after a squirrel caused a system problem at a substation. Most of the affected customers were in the northwest side of Columbus.
The station reports the outage affected various traffic signals in the area.
AEP officials said the restoration time was scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Monday.
