Three injured in Streetsboro crash

Beacon Journal staff report

Three people were injured following a head-on crash Tuesday in Streetsboro.

Two men sustained non life-threatening injuries. The condition of a third man was not immediately known.

The crash occurred at about 8:20 p.m. in the 8400 block of state Route 43. According to authorities, Nathaliah Carver, 21, of Kent, was north on Route 43 inside a 1991 Infinity G20 when he went left of the center line and crashed into a 2003 Mitsubishi Spider driven by Jeremy Braynard, 17, of Streetsboro.

A passenger, Kevin Jones, 18, of Streetsboro, was riding with Braynard. He was being treated at Akron City Hospital after being flown by medical helicopter. Braynard and Carver were being treated at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.

Police say excessive speed contributed to the crash. Charges have yet to be filed while the case is being investigated, authorities said.
