Akron police are investigating two separate shootings that took place Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Neither man was seriously injured and the gunfire does not appear to be connected.
The first shooting took place about 8 p.m. when a 42-year-old man was shot in the foot while standing near the intersection of Carpenter Street and Shelby Avenue. The victim told police he was unaware of the gunshot wound until he felt a burning sensation in his foot. No suspect has been identified.
Police say the man was still recovering from being shot March 18 inside a Thorpe Street home.
At about 1 a.m. Wednesday, a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg while in the 900 block of Nathan Street. Officers say the victim was intoxicated and did not immediately cooperate with their investigation.
