Two-vehicle crash in Wayne County kills Jackson Township man

Beacon Journal staff report

BAUGHMAN TWP.: A Jackson Township man was killed Monday in a two-vehicle crash near Marshallville in Wayne County.

Carl J. Rohr, 30, of Stuhldreher Street, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a report from the patrol, Rohr pulled out of a private drive on the west side of County Road 95 (Coal Bank Road) in a 2002 GMC Sonoma pickup and into the path of another pickup truck that was southbound on the road about 4:56 p.m.

The other driver, a Perry Township man, attempted to brake, the patrol said, but he struck the driver’s side of Rohr’s vehicle.

The second driver was not injured.

Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the crash, the patrol said.
