Wadsworth police nab suspected burglar

Beacon Journal staff report

Wadsworth police announced late Friday night that an arrest has been made in a string of burglaries in the area of Valley View Elementary School.

Authorities say tips from the public "led to a breakthrough in the investigation."

Officers executed a search warrant on Friday in the 200 block of Knollwood Drive.

Inside the residence, police say they recovered "the majority of the property stolen in the burglaries and break-ins."

Brandon T. Ball, 23, has been charged with burglary. He is being held in the Medina County Jail.

Authorities say the recovered stolen property is "expected to be returned to the rightful owners in the very near future."

Police say additional charges are expected after the case is presented to the grand jury.
