A Wadsworth woman has been indicted on charges of setting fire to her home last fall.
Jill Tucker, 58, was arrested Thursday by Wadsworth police detectives after a Medina County grand jury indicted her on one count of aggravated arson. She was being held in the county jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
She is accused of starting a fire Oct. 13 inside her home at 168 S. Pardee St. Police say Tucker was alone inside the house when the fire began about 3 a.m.
It took firefighters from Wadsworth, Rittman, Seville, Guilford Township and Sharon Township about five hours to fully extinguish the blaze, police said.
An investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and a Wadsworth police detective ended in early June with the grand jury indictment.
Police did not identify how the fire started or why Tucker might have started the blaze.
