Warrant issued for Akron man accused in shooting early Sunday

Akron police have issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected in a shooting early Sunday.

Michael A. Reid, 22, of Murray Avenue in Akron, is charged with felonious assault.

Police accuse Reid of shooting a Cuyahoga Falls man in the 200 block of Paris Avenue about 2 a.m.

The victim, 25, was transported to Akron General Medical Center, where injuries to his back did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police said Reid should be considered armed and dangerous.
