The national weather service has issued a wind-chill advisory for the local region and Northeast Ohio.
The advisory is in effect for Summit, Medina, Portage, Stark and Wayne counties until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Wind-chill readings are expected to dip as low as 15 degrees below zero as wind gusts up to 25 mph are forecast. Temperatures are expected to be as low as 4 degrees above zero.
The weather service also is forecasting light snow in the Akron area.
