The northbound ramp from Dart Avenue to Market Street will be closed to daytime traffic starting Monday for construction of the Cascade Locks Bikeway, the traffic engineering division of the City of Akron announced today.
Project coordinator Travis Capper said the ramp, located just north of Center Street and running parallel to the Innerbelt, (state Route 59) will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for about two weeks.
Traffic will be detoured around the closed ramp via Ash, Mill, Main and Market streets.
Kenmore Construction Co. needs the area for equipment to accommodate the project, Capper said.
