Seven cars jumped the track when a train derailed in Suffield Township early this morning.
Capt. Connie Mihalik, of the Suffield Township Fire Department, said the derailment of a Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad train occurred at 1:30 a.m. near U.S. Route 224 and Martin Road.
The derailment did not disrupt traffic and there were no chemical spills.
Railroad crews were at the scene this morning to clear the wreckage.
No official cause was given for the derailment.
