Police searching for man who allegedly robbed 83-year-old

By Beacon Journal staff report

Akron police are asking for help in finding Kenneth Lee Keith, 41, who allegedly forced his way into the home of an 83-year-old man, knocking him to the floor and taking $20 from his wallet.

Keith's last known address is in the 400 block of Madison Avenue. He is described as a black male, 5-feet-9, and weighing about 245 pounds.

Keith is wanted on aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery charges stemming from the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Akron police detectives at 330-375-2490.

Police said that on Feb. 15, Keith apparently knocked on the door of the man's house, on Hunt Street, and asked to shovel snow. When the victim said no, Keith forced his way in. The victim knows Keith, police said.

After knocking the man to the floor, Keith took a wallet from the victim's pants pocket, removed $20 and returned the wallet, police said.
