Two Akron men, charged with robbing a customer at a Copley Township gas station at gunpoint, are scheduled to appear in Barberton Municipal Court on Wednesday.
Tyrell Robinson, 20, is charged with aggravated robbery and Ian Hickman, 18, is charged with complicity to commit aggravated robbery and obstructing official business.
A third man, Leon Walker, 21, of Akron, was arrested on a warrant for drug abuse.
Police were called to the Marathon station at 1904 Copley Road just after midnight Tuesday. A 23-year-old Akron man told officers he was pumping gas into his vehicle when a man later identified as Robinson approached, showed him a black and silver handgun and demanded money.
The man told police he turned over a $100 bill and three $20 bills. He said the alleged robber fled with an accomplice in a tan Buick with a bent front license plate.
Robinson, Hickman and Walker were found by Akron police walking away from the Buick in the 1500 block of White Avenue in Akron. Police say Hickman had a $100 bill in his possession.
Hickman and Robinson appeared Wednesday before Barberton Municipal Court Judge Greg Macko.
Macko set bonds for the men at $50,000 each and ordered them to return to court March 26. They are being held in the Summit County Jail.
