Checkpoint leads to several arrests Saturday

More than a dozen people were arrested by Summit County Sheriff's deputies Saturday night at an OVI (operating vehicle impaired) checkpoint in the 800 block of East Archwood in Akron.

Deputies checked 122 vehicles, which resulted in three operating under the influence arrests; seven driving under suspension; four warrant arrests; five open container citations; one possession of marijuana arrest; two drug paraphernalia citations; four miscellaneous citations; and four towed vehicles.
